The major centre of the region is Tenterfield, surrounded by the villages of Drake, Jennings, Legume, Liston, Mingoola, Deepwater, Emmaville, Torrington and Urbenville - each, as you will discover, with their own unique characteristics.

Tenterfield offers a wide range of goods and services such as education, a variety of shops, and medical facilities. Tenterfield is approximately 767 km north of Sydney and 277 km south of Brisbane at the junction of the New England and Bruxner Highways on the northern fringe of the New England Tablelands.
